guarantor

  1. (1) (in PRM and MAR 5-A) a person that provides a guarantee.
  2. (2) (in DISP) an individual who:
    1. (a) is not a consumer (as defined in DISP); and
    2. (b) has given a guarantee or security in respect of an obligation or liability of a person which was a micro-enterprise or small business as at the date that the guarantee or security was given.
