regulated entity

one of the following:

1. (a) a credit institution; or
1. (b) a “UK Solvency II firm”, “third country insurance undertaking” or “third country reinsurance undertaking”, each as defined in the PRA Rulebook: Glossary; or
1. (c) an investment firm;

whether or not it is incorporated in, or has its head office in, the UK.

An asset management company is treated as a regulated entity for the purposes described in GENPRU 3.1.39R (The financial sectors: asset management companies).
